Q #8 ~ Ten Questions for a New Humanity…

In January of this year [2009] I completed a small, self published title: Soulananda; The Essentials of a Good Life.  Within this book there is a segment called “Ten Questions for a New Humanity”.  I believe this to be a very important piece that has value, meaning, and relevance for those who are interested in creating a life that is congruent with their highest aspirations; for those who are looking to be the change in their own life and the world they live in.

My intent is simple, to stimulate a ripple effect by encouraging others to engage these ten questions consciously; mindfully and purposefully; whether that be by journaling, meditative contemplation or direct dialogue with another or even within a group format.

For the next 10 consecutive days I will publish one question a day from Soulananda; The Essentials of a Good Life and Ten Questions for a New Humanity. It is my hope that these words may inspire you to begin or perhaps even deepen your own journey of enquiry into Who You Are.  It is my hope that by engaging these questions you will begin or extend your present conversation and connection you have with Self, “others” and our Earth that it will spark greater levels of congruence with that One relationship.

I encourage you to send a link from this blog to three of your friends, or more, who you think might be interested in participating within this conversation.  I want to invite you to post your own responses to each question when you feel guided, so that we all can share in the inspiration and words of wisdom that may unfold out of your own inner dialogue.

If you would like to further support this initiative AND my work, you could also visit the online publisher of Soulananda; The Essentials of a Good Life; and, for a small investment, order the full colored “booklet”…

You can take a sneak peek inside the pages itself by visiting this link:

Changing your world, ONE Question at a time…

We all have our home in nature.  Our body’s, our minds and our authentic Selves are the expression of nature’s unbounded intelligence.  For the unknown to become known, for the bound to become unbound, there must be an awakening of THAT intelligence within as our authentic Self.

In the past the old way of Being was based on the biology of survival thinking and awareness; distinction and separation, power and authority, subjugation and degradation of the Earth and its peoples were the modus operandi and way of being, based on “having” and “doing.”

The evolution of consciousness is based on an impulse that impels us to move beyond ways of being that are based on survival; thinking and awareness based on the biology of an old brain.  In this now, we have an opportunity to redefine Who We Are by investigating what we are not.  With attention, we can have a direct experience of immersing ourselves in consciousness itself.  As we abandon who we imagine ourselves to be, discovering and embracing Who We Are; the fullness of natures intelligence will be experienced and expressed spontaneously and naturally for the benefit of Self and all others.

The cradle of a sustainable life is based on a refined sense of Self; a Self that lies beyond having and doing, a sense of Self that is based on an expression of Being.  When we take care of Being, the having and the doing will spontaneously be taken care of.  In our knowingness, in the awareness we have for the present moment, the quality of our attention will reveal what relevant action is needed or not needed for the moment.

As we shift our attention from the foreground of our life experience, to the background of our Being, we will no longer marginalize what was once marginalized. As we derive a new sense of identity that is no longer based on a survival mindset of struggle that leads to internal and external suffering, we will unleash an inner, unbounded; Self that requires no outside stimulus.  We will find the right ingredients from which to build a new life and new humanity.

The present moment is pregnant with possibility, and when we relinquish the need to live life from the level of the mind and the infinite strategies that are expressed by that mind, we can slip into the knowingness of Soul, where the right response to every situation arises spontaneously out of the stillness and Self that was always there.

 Here’s the eight question:

How can I live my life with a greater reverence and humility for the mystery of Being; with enhanced gratitude for the gift of life, and with greater humility regarding my place in nature?
